(282) NUTCASE MONDAY

This weekend, the Police in Cleveland spent hours going through a guy's house and yard who had 10-12 dead people buried in the area. The stench was so great that no one thought it could be coming from his house. They thought it was some industrial odor.

Also, at Fort Hood, a Muslim went berserk and shot up the place. When someone of Muslim persuasion starts wearing prayer garb and bouncing their head off the floor five times a day while they chant and then curse the United States, even though he is a Major in the United States Army, someone needs to put a net over the guy and have him examined. How often do you hear of an Atheist from Denmark shooting up a shopping center, an airport, or a military base?

In other news, Dez Bryant, an All-American Wide Receiver from Oklahoma State, has been suspended for one year because he lied to the NCAA. What heinous crime had Bryant committed? He jogged with former-NFL player Dion Sanders. There are more stupid rules in society--and the rules are becoming more oppressive every day. The reason that we have to have government-run health care and why we can't see the wisdom in the legalization of drugs is very simple: the government does not want to give up control. There is a powerful urgency to control every aspect of the human experience, however, within the parameters of all the rules imaginable, what harm was there in Bryant having an off-season meeting with Dion Sanders? These people are out of control and need to be reigned in. What it takes is for a few major schools to have the gumption to drop out of the NCAA and go it alone. It's the old 'Stout-hearted Men' song: "Start me with ten, who are stout-hearted men, and I'll soon give you ten thousand more." Well, the first ten need to step up, and, after that, it'll be easy.

Respectfully submitted,
Donald M. Heavrin
